National Open Access Registry (NOAR) has successfully gone live from 1st May 2022. National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) operated by Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) has been designated as the nodal agency for the implementation and operation of NOAR.

- NOAR is a centralized online platform through which short-term open access to the inter-state transmission system is being managed in India.
- It is an integrated platform accessible to all stakeholders in the power sector, including open-access customers.
- The platform provides automation in the workflow to achieve a shorter turnaround time for the transactions.
- NOAR platform also has a payment gateway integrated for making payments related to interstate short-term open access transactions.
- NOAR would be the key to facilitating faster electricity markets and enabling the integration of Renewable Energy (RE) resources into the grid.
- NOAR is part of the Ministry of Power under the Government of India.
About Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO)
- POSOCO is a Government of India enterprise.
- In February 2009 the National Load Despatch Center (NLDC) was inaugurated.
- Now, these Regional Load Despatch Centers (RLDCs) and National Load Despatch Center (NLDC) is a separate Organization named POSOCO (Power system Operation Corporation Limited).
